Documents that should be submitted to the Commissioner of Co-operative
Development/Registrar when applying for the Registration of a proposed
Co-operative society that is running in a suitable manner :-
Society's request for Registration.
Two copies of the application form for Registration.
Two copies of the proposed by-laws. A detailed statement to the effect
that the proposed by-laws was accepted at the relevant General Meeting,
signed and certified by both the president and the secretary should be
submitted.
Certificate to the effect that the proposed by-laws does not contravene
the Co-operative Society act and its regulations.
Certified extracts of the General/working Committee and Board of
Directors Meetings.
Setting up of the Co-operative Society, Registering with the Department of
Co-operative Development. Accepting the by-laws, Appointing of the office
Bearers, and extracts of reports including the suggestions and decisions of
the general and working committee/ Board of Directors Meetings (Certified
according to Regulation 45)
Feasibility Report.
Certificate obtained regulation wise to the effect that the above
feasibility report reflects the actual financial feasibility of the society
A progress report of the society’s financial accounts relevant to the
society's transactions from the date of formation, up to the date of
applying for Registration, profit accounts and other relevant accounts and a
Balance statement should be submitted for verifications of the items in the
Balance Sheet.
Certificate to the effect that the founder members of the society paid
the payments as specified in the by-laws and that this money is in safe
hands.
A report giving the Name, Age, Address, Occupation and the Educational
Qualifications of the members of the working Committee/Board of Directors of
the proposed society.
A Name Register with the signatures of those who participated in the
society's general meetings.
Street map and a map of the area under Authority.
